The genre in television programming has greatly changed since the time TV was invented. This is a fact. Still, the concept of bringing televisions shows to reality through the introduction of reality-based programs has broken the traditional notion of predictable TV, and the offering of unedited, real-time television shows brings the level of entertainment into higher toes.

These kinds of shows are watched by million televiewers because of the excitement and a plethora of surprises that awaits them since behavior of characters are mostly unexpected and the twist and turns of events are not so predictable unlike in the regular television series that we used to watch. But, since viewers are offered with those kinds of entertainment, their perspectives of an outcome for the show becomes predictable, and eventually they have already thought of the possible endings for a show even if those programs are not even finished yet. This leads to a challenge to the entertainment think-tanks on how to strategize and formulate reality-based programs that will offer a new flavor and excitement for their target market. Also, it is important to consider culture-sensitive contents so as not to offend one’s religion and social standards, or even face sanctions from the censors.

Whatever the next developments will be, reality shows will continue to thrive as people want surprises and as the cliché goes that one’s life is unique, so as every show that characters in reality programs portray.

A lot of us are bored today. It may be caused by too much work; or or pressure from things surrounding us, or just simply we are bored. Thus, we search for ways where we can overcome it and make our lives enjoyable and worth living. But why go out and spend a lot of money treating yourself, if you can have them at the comfort of your home in front of your PC.

There is a lot of funny materials circulating in the World Wide Web. A search in mighty Google or or Yahoo or Bing will point you to websites designed to provide fun and humor to your surfing experience. The invention of the Web gave us a variety of Internet resources where we can enjoy and relax through just surfing the cyberspace. And the funny stuffs are limitless, they seem to be increasing in numbers, and when you begin liking them, you’ll also notice you don’t have all the time seeing them all.

First are funny songs. These funny songs are oftentimes melodies that bring laughter through the lyrics or its interpretation, or the tune is so upbeat that we feel like dancing whenever it is played. Even songs written in foreign language seemed to be more acceptable and appreciated than before because of the wide circulation the Web offers to songwriters.

How about commercials? These ads used to be kept off by TV viewers. But not all advertisements are bad. There are ads, even though we don’t like the product or service being advertised, we still liked them since they have captured our attention. Most of these funny commercials are very much known in the Internet and they themselves alone are enough to market that particular service or product. Some of them are even banned in TV, but we’re lucky there is the Web, and censors cannot prevent us from viewing them.

This age is also the age of reality shows, and reality shows combine wit and humor to bring about true to life shows, not acted by professional artists. Funny pranks are popular and every one, regardless of who they are, are making their own names when their shows took the Web by storm.

Consider this, there are a vast resource of funny stuff and entertaining media in the Internet. Nothing to spend. Google and a mouse click will do, and that’s when fun starts.

We treat our pets as members of the family. They provide unconditional love and joy only animals can give. They’re loyal, forgiving, and always there when you need a companion. Dogs and cats are the most common pets. While spiders, lizards, squirrels, snakes and other exotic pets also had their share of owners. Companionship, more than anything else are the reason many people keep them. These animals make their way into our house because of the happiness they bring us. They ruin the sofas, there’s litter everywhere, they smell, their noisy but who cares, they bring joy to the family and that’s more important than all their mischiefs.

A friend is always there whenever needed. They are clowns that puts away our boredom and tiredness. They are companions that’ ll give their lives to save us. They cheer us up. That’s why it is common to see pets in every home. The moments we shared with them are usually among the most memorable events in our life. We take pictures of them in their candid moments with our family. Kids play with them as we take videos and still photos of them. Some hire professional photographers just to make pet portraits of their most loyal pets and display it with the family’s memorabilia. Putting them in a pet portrait ensures that their memories will last a lifetime.

10 Article Writing Keys for Newbies

This article on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for aspiring writers is not written from the catbird seat point of view of the article host or database manager. Rather it is by and from the perspective of an writer who thinks the early misgivings. It is composed particularly for the starting article writer. I have written and presented hundreds of compositions for publication to a horde of article hosts and information managers and still considers article writing my nemesis.

1. Necessity vs Desire:
Writings and Blogs are essential in present day scheme of search engine indexing. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just think what the Holy Book states, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. This is absolutely right! Many of us hate article and blog writing at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a essential evil” as they are not mostly anyone’s best wished house keeping chores.

2. Just Start, It Gets Easier:
First it is sometimes difficult to get a thought or idea and to get started. We know authors who actually get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. There are a lot to write about, name it: alternative medicine, cancer diseases, true religion, life insurance, playing online poker, cheap insurance. Others may think of even more unusual topics such as penis enlargement and cheap viagra. most readers simply don’t have the time or interest to wade through the material regardless of how important it is.

4. Blog Length vs Article Length:
Most article publishers want a minimum of 600 words per article - some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can have a shorter content. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate photos and embedded links.

Just don’t over do it. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a host who can ban you entirely from their service. writings, then again, typically cannot carry these extra touches according to the requirements of most web publishers.

5. Format:
Prepare your article in American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) format. There are a lot of software that does this thing. A search for ‘free ASCII editor’ or for ‘free plain text editors’ will give you a lot of tools to choose from. WordPress is a popular choice. If all else fails Notepad is enough for you to use.

6. Grammar and Spelling:
Run and good spell checker and grammar checker once you have written your article. Microsoft Word works well for these purposes. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for writing of your article. Rather use its corrections to make any necessary rectifications to your copy in plain text. The MS Word copy will work for blogs although other editors are preferred.

Just like the days when you were pushed by teachers, you will find article and blog writing skills become better with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:
Once your article is ready you may want to utilize some software to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog hosts and select those suited to your needs. Register in one or more and publish your blog there. Then search for blog and RSS announcers and utilize them to get your blog known.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your compositions to free publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of directories in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Patience:
Now, have some patience. Here is where you lose control. Many of those who host articles are timely and your compositions will be reviewed in a span of 1 to 2 days. Others may take days and weeks therefore never date an article - a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection - “sorry your article has been declined”:
Be prepared for most hosts to reject your articles. Do not take it personally. It usually has little to do with you or your article.

Some databases routinely reject articles for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some directories are simply too lazy and get so far behind, the easiest and fastest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject the whole article. You will know who do this over time.

Then there are those who run your writings through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, regardless of how they are used, your article gets no farther. These are the people who can’t even publish the Bile because it contains words that offend them or their readers. Don’t worry about these folks who are so heavenly minded they are of no earthly use.

Remember, just as in everything else in life, for every rule there is an exception.

10. Always believe, and keep cranking out compositions:
Since most writers, particularly newcomers, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up - keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your articles are accepted and published getting visitors to your website while creating those all essential links to your sites.

It is not essential that every host to accept everything submitted to them. After one or two directories publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize you anyway by ignoring additional postings. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not step-up your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more significant to get your article published by directories with the highest Google page rank possible.

Now, one Incentive TIP for you: Together with “the rejection slip” will usually come a suggestion on how to “edit” your article and a request that you submit it again. Don’t blow your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new one where you can get more punch. There will be enough publishers will get your article up so move on and save yourself some time and heartburn.

Each person has an idea or thought at least once a day usually at the untimeliest time. How many of these ideas are lost because you procrastinate? Don’t procrastinate! Go! Write that thought before disappears.

I, James Gillard, however am a master at defying the ineluctable. I stare ‘The Unavoidable’ in the face and call him dirty names. I say, if you like to quit your job, QUIT WORKING; I’ll even give you 5 reasons why you should.

1. If you stop working you’ll have plenty of time to reading good articles such as this one. This will enable me to become a household name down at the Office of Unemployment and Welfare Services. My famousness is a small price to pay for you living your dreams. You’ll think of this when you see me on TV shows today.

2. Quitting your job will make you feel wonderful. You’ll be in cloud nine in 10 minutes, you’ll be on top of the world, you’ll have a good life, you’ll be: -insert your own cliche here-. Then the worries start about the car note, the mortgage, the kid’s school clothes, groceries, and and how you’re going to pay the amount you owe to other companies. All this will bring depression up to the extent of attempting suicide, but at least you had 10 minutes of freedom.

3. Daytime TV shows is considered the most thrilling and fascinating television in the market. You’ll inquire how come you get to survive without all those quality soap operas, daytime talk shows, and judge shows where you get the sinking suspicion that the judge has been paid off. It’s like having a job again, without getting a salary.

5. Drawing yourself out of bed every morning at 5:30 a.m. doesn’t help your body. Your physician will proud of you that caring for your body is your priority to go as far as resigning from your job. He won’t see you anymore, however, because you no longer have health insurance. We have free clinics though, and you don’t have to worry. Waiting all day in this clinic next to young teenagers diagnosed with Gonorrhea is is another wonderful experience you will surely miss if you had kept your day job.

That’s it folks. Five raesons why you should go out and resign from your job. Feel free to quote any of these reasons to your employer when you turn in your two weeks notice. If she asks where in the world you get that information say to her that unselfish friend of humanity gave them to you free of charge, and all I wanted in return was that you think of me next time you need your septic tank scrubbed…

Birthdays: Reasons for Celebrating

Why do we celebrate birthdays? What is it that we are proud of? Is it for we survive another year of hardships and odds? Are we marking the progress we have made, our cumulative achievements and possessions? Is a birthday the expression of hope for us to live our life for the year to come?

None of the above, it would seem.

If we are remembering the past year, would we still drink to it if we know we are going to die soon? Not likely. But why? What is the relevance of information about the future (our own eventful death) when it is the past that we are celebrating? The past is immutable. No future event can corrupt the fact that we have made it through another 12 months of struggle. Then why not celebrate this fact?

Because it is not the past that is foremost on our minds. It is about our future, not of the past. We are celebrating having gone so far because such successful resilience allows us to move forward. We proclaim our potential to further enjoy the gifts of life. Birthdays are constructions of unbridled, blind faith in our own suspended mortality.

But if these all are true, certainly we have less and less to celebrate as we grow older. What reason do octogenarians have to drink to another year if that gift is far from guaranteed? Life provides diminishing returns: the longer you are invested, the less likely you are to reap the dividenda of survival, life insurance for example. So, based on actuarial science, it becomes increasingly less rational to celebrate one’s future the older one gets.

Thus, we are forced into thinking self-delusionally defying death are what birthday meant. Preserving the illusion of immortality are what birthdays mean. Birthdays are forms of acting out our imaginative thinking. By celebrating that we exist, we bestow on ourselves protective charms against the nonsense and whimsical nature of a impersonal, cruel, cold, and and most often a world full of hostility.

And it works most of the time. Have a no prescription - Happy birthday!
